Following the terrible fires 🔥 that have ravaged a large part of the Hautes Fagnes, certain areas are, understandably, 🚫 closed to the public.
The affected area is shown on the map below.
A very small section of the Malmedy Extratrail Black route is affected by this closure at the Signal de Botrange.
A short diversion (+/- 500 m) has therefore been put in place to avoid the affected area and allow the Malmedy route to remain open.
Please follow this diversion and strictly comply with the restrictions in place on the ground.
It is also up to each of us to take all necessary and appropriate precautions to protect our region from any further disasters 🙏.
