Who's Who ?

Extratrail was born from the completely private and independent initiative of three friends who are passionate about trail running (Frédéric Jérôme, Benoît Lambert et Pierre Florkin). They wanted to make the most of the tourism potential of their region: the Belgian Ardennes.

A not-for-profit association was quickly established to give the project a legal personality, which could support its development and offer the partners involved the required credibility (municipal authorities, Department of Nature and Forests, Tourism Commission, Province of Liège Sports Department, etc.).

Today, the not-for-profit association has 12 active members, all of them volunteers, who devote their time and energy to maintaining almost 750 kilometres of permanent trails.
